Edinburgh Festival Fringe
2026 is the biggest Edinburgh Fringe yet, and we’re there all month!
This year we’re thrilled to be working across four unique solo performer shows at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, each of them heading to the UK from the United States. For each production PVP serves as consultant general manager, providing a package of support but prioritising celebrating the artists behind the work.
As well as these four shows, PVP is also supporting Benson Drive Productions’ Artists-in-Residence scheme, bringing three American-based artists to Edinburgh for the first time to experience the festival and plan their debut production.
Joining Paul at the Edinburgh Fringe for 2026 are associate producer Katie Jackson and production manager Titch Gosling.
The shows
Ariana and the Rose makes her Edinburgh debut with The Breakup Variety Hour, fresh from the Melbourne and Sydney Comedy Festivals. As seen on the Kelly Clarkson Show, Ariana is a Brooklyn-based pop-synth artist known for her 80s-inspired sound, theatrical flair and emotional storytelling. TBVH is her love letter to heartbreak, healing and the wild ride in-between. The best revenge is living fabulously.
Steve Burns is Alive and he is coming to Edinburgh to answer a question: what happens when the world thinks you’re dead but you’re not? Much beloved as the original host of Blue’s Clues in the US, after Steve retired from TV the internet was awash with conspiracy theories and rumours about what happened to him. Except none of it was true. This is his story of what happens when millions of strangers grieve a version of you that never existed, brought to Edinburgh by Benson Drive Productionsand directed by Sivan Battat.
From groundbreaking New York producers Breaking the Binary Theatre comes TWITCH, a new play by writer Lilliana Padilla and directed by Jack Ferver. Joslyn DeFreece stars as Pam, whose son Doug Lemons has gone missing in the sort of town where everyone knows everyone, and nobody trusts anyone. Searching obsessively for her son from the comfort - or danger - of her couch, Pam claws for certainty as she tries to shake off the twitch.
ROOMIES is the world premiere of Julia Stephens’ debut play, directed by Ryan Dobrin. Sophie was once an LA it-girl. Now she’s planning her 30th birthday party from inside a treatment facility, and the only guest on the list is her 18-year old schizophrenic roommate. Come to one very unexpected birthday party, where glamour, madness and survival all share one table.
we’ve produced, managed or consulted on dozens of productions at the fringe across ten of the last fifteen years
Already thinking about 2027?
From storytelling to cabaret, live music parties to one-man shows, large musicals to wordless physical theatre, I’ve worked on a huge variety of shows at the world’s largest arts festival as everything from production assistant to curator to director to producer (including a brief stint as a lighting designer that’s best forgotten…!).
The Fringe is the most invigorating, ambitious, tantalising month of the theatrical year and has become a mainstay in my work. Edinburgh was where I decided that I simply had to work in theatre, Edinburgh was where I found my feet as a producer, and - if it’s not too cheesy to admit - Edinburgh was where I found myself as a person.
Despite all its excitement, the Festival can be a lonely place, but I’m a strong believer that it’s made all the better by having a friendly face to turn to, and an experienced knowledge bank to rely on if things don’t go as planned. Every year at the Festival is a little bit different, but certain truths remain the same every time, and PVP is well-equipped to help you on your festival journey.
We regularly work with a range of artists and producers each Fringe, whether we’re producing, general managing, consulting, or just providing some one-off support. We’ll work with you to define what you need, craft an individualised plan, and keep things bespoke to your resources, all designed to make a success out of your month in Edinburgh.
All of our shows benefit from a dedicated PVP street team, production management and logistical support, utilising a multi-show team of stage managers or operators, oversight of company management and welfare, and being part of a community of likeminded artists.
We can also support you in all the logistical things you may need, whether that’s working with marketing and press teams, arranging haulage, helping you get your show programmed, managing bookkeeping and payroll, overseeing contracts or insurance, staffing and casting, and finding that all-important accommodation.
So, whether you’re an experienced producer, a first-time fringe go-er, or something in between, do get in touch if you think we can help!
